KNS ABOUT US Kansas Next Step, Inc. was formed in October 2003 to help students obtain unique and quality opportunities in relationship to their abilities. Our main goal is to connect these students with people who have the experience and knowledge to guide them towards the success and goals they desire. These professionals are mentors, advisors, fiscal sponsors and links to other professionals. Kansas Next Step is committed to connecting students with unique and exciting opportunities.  We are in the process of building a database of professionals as contacts in all areas of interest.  If you know anyone who would like to be included in this database, please contact us.  We are also interested in promoting internship programs.  These programs may range from observation internships (one week and up) to paid internships (summer, semester or year). Our goals for 2009-2010 include hosting evening seminars on writing and building a resume, application forms, how to get a great reference letter, passing the GRE (given by a former Princeton Review specialist and currently on the Fort Hays State University faculty), internships and "What is the next step?"  Ideas and speakers for additional seminars are welcomed.  We are also excited to be hosting our KNS 2010 Oil & Gas Seminar on August 4-5, 2010.  Kansas Next Step is run by volunteers so all funds collected through donations and grants will be for operational expenses and program costs benefiting the students.  If you would like to be a fiscal sponsor or donate your time, knowledge and/or talent, please give us a call.  We welcome students, parents, professionals and retirees to be a part of helping students obtain success through great connections.
